Welcome to the Satara branch of the Shree Raja Rajeshwar Devasthan Foundation, where we are committed to upholding the rich spiritual traditions and cultural heritage of our land through the construction of sacred temples. Our aim is to create spaces of reverence and community unity that resonate with the divine presence.
At the Satara branch, our vision is to build a new Shiva Mandir (Shivalam) of Panchamahabhootham, adorned with unique features and dedicated to Lord Shiva. Drawing inspiration from the timeless legacy of temple construction, we aspire to erect a place of worship that will serve as a spiritual oasis for devotees in Satara and beyond.
The name “Shivle” encapsulates the essence of Lord Shiva and signifies His divine presence. Just as the Pragatheeswarar temple in Thanjavur district stands as a testament to devotion, our temple in Satara will stand as a symbol of reverence and faith, honoring the timeless legacy of Lord Shiva.
Behind the Moolavar in our temple, we plan to perform prana pratishta with the sacred stone called Ashtanaga Bandham Yantra, revered for its sanctity and worshipped by Sage Sri Agasthiyar over 5000 years ago. With the guidance of Sri Amarnath Swami Guruji, a direct descendant of Raja Raja Chola, who built the Pragatheeswarar temple, we are dedicated to adhering to the sacred principles outlined in the Agama Shastra.
